Dr. Laura Robinson is a Bermudian Psychologist registered to practise in both the UK and Bermuda. She completed her Doctorate in Forensic Psychology and currently works in the National Health Service (NHS) and private practice. With over 12 years of post-qualification experience, Dr. Robinson has worked extensively across a diverse range of public and private sector settings, including hospitals, prisons, community services, and private practice, bringing a wealth of knowledge and insight to each environment.
Clinical Practice & Mental Health
Dr. Robinson delivers evidence-based psychological therapies to individuals facing a wide spectrum of mental health challenges, including trauma, anxiety, and distress from adverse life events. Her therapeutic approach is grounded in clinical evidence and a deep understanding of the effects of high-stress environments on psychological wellbeing. She supports clients in achieving positive change and resilience, tailoring sessions to their unique needs. Trained in a range of modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, and Mentalisation-Based Therapy, Dr. Robinson is also highly experienced in delivering Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), an evidence-based therapy for trauma, phobias, and anxiety. Dr. Robinson has research, academic and practical experience in Occupational and Organisational Psychology. She offers consultancy to organisations across corporate, healthcare, and criminal justice sectors, advising on issues such as employee wellbeing, burnout prevention, building organisational resilience and psychological safety in teams. She partners with organisations to translate psychological research into actionable, evidence-informed solutions that enhance sustainable performance, cultivate high-functioning teams, and advance staff wellbeing.
Forensic & Court-Related Work
As a specialist in Forensic Psychology, Dr. Robinson also has extensive experience working within criminal justice, legal and secure settings, including prisons and court settings. She provides assessment and formulation of complex cases, often involving risk, trauma, mental illness and behavioural difficulties. Her work includes psychological assessment, report writing, and providing expert input where required. She brings a balanced, evidence-based approach to forensic work, with a strong understanding of both clinical and legal contexts.
