Clinical Psychology Assistant

Julianna Brewer first joined Solstice’s children’s group programmes in 2020 and has since become a full-time Clinical Psychology Assistant as of Fall 2022. 

Julianna completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience at Trinity College where she studied behavioural neuroscience, brain & behaviour, and developmental psychopathology. In 2022, she completed her Master’s degree in Child Development at University College London (registered by the British Psychological Society) where she researched the effects of intergenerational trauma on children’s socioemotional development. 

Currently, she supports children and adolescents navigating emotions, life transitions, stress and anxiety, low mood, self-confidence, social skills and attention difficulties. She uses strategies that support resilience and self-expression, such as emotion coaching and mindfulness. Using an integrative theoretical approach, Julianna creates a creative, playful and adaptive environment in her sessions. She is also supervised and inspired by clinical psychologist Dr. Samantha Gerdes. 

Being born and raised in Bermuda, Julianna is passionate about giving back to the community and making a positive impact on future generations. She is working towards applying to doctorate programmes in Clinical Psychology.
