Child & Adolescent Individual Therapy

Child & Adolescent Individual Therapy

Solstice offers a wide range of assessments and interventions for children and adolescents. Children often communicate best using play and other non-verbal techniques. With this in mind we offer a selection of evidence-based therapies such as art therapy, play therapy, sand tray therapy, group therapy, and expressive arts therapies.

Specialist interventions can also be provided by our external network of hand-picked clinicians such as Speech and Language Therapy and Paediatric Occupational Therapy.

For formal psychodiagnostic evaluations, our doctoral-level Clinical Psychologists are trained to administer and interpret a wide range of formal psychometric tests including but not limited to developmental, cognitive, and personality assessments. They are experienced in working with children and their families from birth through adulthood.

Our clinicians also provide home and school-based interventions and assessments as well as school liaison. They advise schools about possible strategies that can help children and adolescents to cope in the school setting and maximise their potential. Our clinicians can provide supervision to school counsellors and staff to best support children and adolescents in school.

We offer a wide range of groups to children and adolescents throughout the year – please see our Groups page for further details of the groups currently running.
