Tomei Talbot

Applied Psychology Assistant

Tomei is an Applied Psychology Assistant with a passion for supporting children and families in their emotional, social, and developmental journeys. Her professional path with Solstice began as an intern—an experience that strengthened her commitment to the field of mental health and inspired her long-term career aspirations.

She holds a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Psychology from Staffordshire University in Stoke-on-Trent, England. After completing her degree, Tomei was honoured to be offered a full-time position at Solstice, where she continues to expand her skills and experience.

Over the years, Tomei has gained diverse experience in a variety of settings, including The Family Centre, Ignite Bermuda, Bermuda Government summer camps, and multiple internships at Solstice. She has had the privilege of working with children from a wide range of backgrounds, supporting those with challenges such as separation anxiety, emotional regulation difficulties, generalised anxiety, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, and OCD.

In addition to her clinical support role, Tomei is actively involved in The Studio, Solstice’s after-school programme for children ages 4–12, led alongside Executive Director and Clinical Psychologist Dr. Eloise Pitts-Crick. The programme blends creativity, structured activities, and emotional support to help children build resilience, confidence, and healthy social skills outside the classroom.

Tomei’s long-term goal is to pursue a PhD in Psychology, with the aim of becoming both a marriage and family counsellor and a clinical psychologist specialising in neurological testing. In her role at Solstice, she plays a vital part in supporting children’s mental health by working closely with them, their families, and the wider clinical team. Through this work, she contributes to early intervention and helps create a strong foundation of care that empowers children to thrive emotionally and socially.
